COMMON QUESTIONS

What is usually asked before work begins.

General answers to the procedural questions asked most often. They do not replace assessment of a matter on its own facts, and are not legal advice on any particular file.

How do I first contact the Firm?

You may write via WhatsApp, telephone or the contact form with a brief account of the matter. An appointment is then arranged at the Ramallah or Jenin office.

What documents should I bring to a first meeting?

Anything connected to the matter: contracts, correspondence, notices and any court papers already served. Originals or clear copies are sufficient at this stage.

Is what I share confidential?

Yes. What is put to the Firm is covered by the duty of professional confidentiality, whether or not a retainer follows.

How long does a case take?

This varies with the type of claim, the court and the procedure involved, and cannot be fixed in advance. An expected timeframe is explained once the file has been reviewed.

Can a dispute be resolved without going to court?

In many matters yes, through negotiation, arbitration or settlement. The option is assessed against the nature of the dispute and the client’s legal position.

Does the Firm advise companies on an ongoing basis?

Yes. The work includes advising companies and business owners on matters arising from their activity and on decisions carrying legal consequence.

How are fees determined?

Fees reflect the nature of the matter, the scope of work and the level of litigation, and are agreed in writing before work begins.

HOW WE WORK

A clear path from the first account of the facts.

  1. 01

    Present the facts

Work begins with the essential facts and available documents. No prior legal framing is expected from the client.

  2. 02

    Establish the legal position

The matter is examined to identify the applicable rule, the client’s legal position and the procedure and time limits that attach to it.

  3. 03

    Set out the options

The available courses of action are set out with their consequences, so the decision rests on a clear basis.

  4. 04

    Carry the matter forward

Agreed steps are pursued, with the client informed of material developments.
